The working end of the HP3400 features a professional, deep fabricated deck with 2 blade cutting system that results in a fast, crisp, striped home cut compared to shallower, stamped decks found at big box. What’s more, timed blades sometimes result in maintenance issues. When the blades hit obstructions and get out of sync – the impact can also damage the spindle pulley, which on some big box units are made of plastic.

When height adjustment is required, the unit is adjustable in both the front and the rear. This keeps the deck level for a crisp cut compared to only front adjustments.

The unit also features a smooth “no jump” 3 speed transmission with under handle control lever for operator comfort and speed control in all conditions. In addition, the oversized turf tires contribute to low turf impact, long life, and smooth ride.
